Cut and Paste Collage in the Digital World

Attached is a rough draft of a thirteen page article on making cut and paste collage using image editing software, in this case Photoshop, written for Artella, Artella Words and Art . This is a 1.2MB PDF file. You will need Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or higher to view or print it. If you do not have Adobe's current Acrobat reader, it is free, click Acrobat.

The article follows the collage process from repairing a damaged image to the final assembly of The Return of Arthur, a simple cut and paste collage. If you wish to actually do a digital collage, it assumes you know how to use Photoshop; however, it is not a technical article (no masks, alpha channels, blending options, etc) and can be followed easily even if you know nothing about digital image editing.
